Atlanta-based Methane Studios designed and illustrated this poster to promote a concert by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (CYHSY), an exuberant Brooklyn indie pop band notable not just for its sound, but that it achieved early fame via the internet.

“My goal was to create a poster reflecting the band’s music,” says Methane Studios partner Robert Lee. “CYHSY’s sound is catchy music with a unique approach. I wanted to use an image that seemed a little odd, mysterious, bold and narrative.” Like most of Methane Studio’s limited-edition hand-screened work, this poster is 19 x 25 in. because, according to Lee, “This is the standard size that French Paper is shipped, and it’s big, and big is beautiful!” by Terry Lee Stone
