OK Productions, founded by Alex Weiss, is an Atlanta-based show and concert promoter. This hand-screened poster was used to promote a concert by Band of Horses, an indie rock band from Seattle that Pitchfork Media called “quietly innovative and genuinely refreshing.”

The poster gives a sense of the music. “It has a loose feel and was created by good old ink and brush, which is my favorite way of working when I’m going for that type of look,” says designer/illustrator Mark McDevitt, who is cofounder of Methane Studios with fellow Ohioan Robert Lee. “It also matched the loose, ragged, organic feel of the music. I’m pretty satisfied with how this came out. I tried to avoid having a horse featured since it was an obvious choice, but sometimes that works in favor of the artwork.” by Terry Lee Stone
